MUSIC



The music in the '90s was marked mainly by the consecration of pop music and the phenomenon of boy bands, both in the Brazilian and international level. Already established singers in the 80s continued into the mouth of the people in that decade, like Madonna and Michael Jackson, who continued charting hits and sell millions of records. In Brazil the burst was the emergence of Axé Music, consolidating the success of country music and pop-rock that spawned the radio throughout the country.
Teen Times: In 1993 in England, the music scene has changed completely and burst with a group of girls, the Spice Girls, a teen pop phenomenon who sang songs like "Wannabe," "Say You'll Be There" and "Goodbye" . The success of the Spice Girls gave rise around the world other groups of pop music, as the trio of American brothers Hanson, who appeared in 1997 and sang hits like "MMMBop" and "Where's The Love" and in 1998 also in the USA, boys Brian, AJ, Howie, Nick and Kevin formed the Backstreet Boys, a true musical phenomenon worldwide, who sang songs like "Everbody", "Quit Playing Games With My Heart," "As Long As You Love Me" and "I Want It That Way. " Are also of the 90 other pop phenomena, such as N'Sync, "I Want You Back," Britney Spears "... Baby One More Time"  and Christina Aguilera with "Genie in a Bottle."


The country music: Straight from the interior of Brazil, in 1990, the country music country music that moves away from the root and the songs that talk about stories of love and longing to gain size pop phenomenon. Has also had success this decade: Roberta Miranda, Joao Paulo and Daniel, Sula Miranda, Cleiton and Camargo, Rio Negro and, Gian and Giovani.


Brazilian Pop Rock: The new direction of Brazilian pop rock becomes a factory of hits in that decade. At Pagode, music to cheer, dance, drink and regret the heartache animated the country and not come out of the mouths of the people with the groups Só pra Contrariar "Mineirinho", "A Barata" ; Raça Negra "Cigana"; Molejão "Brincadeira de Criança" and Negritude Jr: "Tanajura," among others.



We can not conclude this post with what has been perhaps the biggest phenomenon of the 90s. Composed of five young men from the city of Guarulhos Mamonas Assassinas group quickly became one of the biggest hits in music history. In the beginning was the band  Utopia, a rock with more intellectual, but with the additions of vocalist Dinho and his sense of humor, the band produced music with the purest nonsense in Brazilian rock. So fast its success was also its last, with a tragic accident, the band members died under one year of success and over two million copies sold of his single hard leaving his legacy in such hits as "Robocop Gay" "Pelados em Santos", "Vira-Vira" and "Sabão Crá-Crá".
